Purchasing and Supply Chain Coordinator:
Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for purchasing and supply chain management?
 
We are recruiting for a Purchasing and Supply Chain Coordinator to join a leading UK brand in composite decking, fencing, and cladding. Based in Crossflatts, Bingley, the office is easily accessible via train from Leeds and Bradford, or by car, with free onsite parking available.
 
General Details:

  • Location: Crossflatts, Bingley, West Yorkshire, BD16 2AF
  • Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Benefits: include Pension Scheme and Bonus Scheme

About the Purchasing and Supply Chain Coordinator role:
You will be working within a core team of three and a wider team of ten, including management and directors. This is a crucial role, where you will work closely with suppliers and distributors to manage stocks and ensure timely deliveries.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and track the movement of goods and materials from production to distribution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reordering of products.
  • Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Purchase products and materials needed for order fulfilment.
  • Oversee shipping and logistics operations.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, sales, and marketing to align on goals and strategies.
  • Stay up to date on market trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
 
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product Development, Accounts).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proactive approach, taking initiative to ensure tasks are completed on time.
 
Desirable Skills:
  • While not essential, experience in e-commerce and online sales would be an advantage.
