Credit Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join this leading independent UK based, global distributor of speciality chemicals and pharmaceutical ingredients.
The core responsibility of a Credit Controller will be to collect payments from debtors as per the current credit policy and administer the Group’s sales ledgers.
  • Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
  • Good communicator and negotiator (verbal communication with customers is as important as electronic.)
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sage ERP / CRM (Desirable).
  • Promptly and efficiently deal with all customer enquiries relating to credit, payment etc.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date system for the recording of all discussions with debtors.
  • Resolve problems which are delaying payments.
  • Check customers’ orders for credit worthiness before release when appropriate.
  • Ensure the production of sales invoices is completed.
  • Complete credit insurance claim forms.
  • Allocate and update customer credit limits and investigate and report upon the credit worthiness of new customers.
  • Liaise with Sales team and other colleagues.
  • Full time position - 5 days per week
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (35 hours)
