We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Production Supervisor on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Consett.

The Role
Reporting into the Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with business targets.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and supervising a team of around 20 employees
  • Planning and coordinating daily production activities to meet quality and delivery targets
  • Driving improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards, including audits and risk assessments
  • Maintaining high product quality standards and supporting ISO 9001 processes
  • Creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment
 
About You
 
To succeed in this Production Supervisor role, you will bring:
  • 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practice
  • Experience or exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
Desirable (but not essential):
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Leadership and Management qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or internal auditing
  • A track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements
