Are you an experienced Paint Sprayer or Timber Finisher looking for a role where quality and attention to detail really matter?

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy joinery workshop in Bradford specialising in the manufacture of high-quality timber sash windows and doors. They are now looking for a Paint Sprayer / Timber Finisher to join their workshop team.

This could suit an experienced sprayer or someone with a strong background in timber preparation and finishing who would like to further develop their spray-finishing skills.

The Role
As a Paint Sprayer / Timber Finisher, you will be involved throughout the preparation and finishing process, ensuring timber windows and doors achieve the high-quality finish expected.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Denibbing and preparing timber windows and doors.
  • Sanding, filling and smoothing surfaces ready for finishing.
  • Spray priming timber products.
  • Sanding between coats to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Applying topcoat paint and translucent finishes.
  • Checking finished products and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Following workshop processes and maintaining a clean and organised environment.
  • Working closely with the wider workshop team to meet production requirements.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing a quality finish and has excellent attention to detail.

Ideally, you will have:
  • Previous experience in paint spraying, timber finishing, sanding or joinery.
  • Experience preparing surfaces for paint or coating applications.
  • Good practical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • A strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work.
  • The ability to follow workshop processes and instructions.
  • A reliable and punctual approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
Previous spray-finishing experience would be an advantage, although training can be provided to someone with strong timber preparation and finishing experience who is keen to develop their skills.

What's on Offer?
  • Salary of £28,000-£31,000, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday daytime working hours / Early finish on Friday.
  • Training and development in spray finishing.
  • Potential salary review following successful completion of 3-month probationary period.
  • Supportive team environment.
  • Well-equipped joinery workshop.
  • Opportunity to work on bespoke, high-quality timber windows and doors rather than repetitive mass-produced products.
If you have experience in paint spraying, timber finishing, sanding or joinery and would like to develop your skills within a specialist workshop, we'd love to hear from you.
