Are you an experienced Buyer or Planner with strong negotiation skills and excellent attention to detail?
 
This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team and play a key role in ensuring supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
 
 
What you'll be doing...

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, both over the phone and in person
  • Negotiate with assigned suppliers to achieve the best pricing and payment terms
  • Manage stock levels to meet both business targets and customer expectations
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers and products in line with quality standards
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving and quarantined stock
  • Support Sales by attending meetings and providing relevant product and market information
 
What we're looking for...
 
Must have:
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous buying experience within a distribution environment
Bonus to have:
  • Proven negotiation experience
  • CIPS qualification
  • Chemistry or science-based degree
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
