We’re recruiting a Team Leader for a 30-bed residential care home in Boroughbridge, on behalf of an award-winning care provider.

Care Team Leader:

  • Permanent role
  • Various shifts / rotas to include days and night shifts
  • £16.50 per hour
  • 36 hours per week

The Role:
As Team Leader within this residential care home, you will be responsible for the safeguarding and wellbeing of all residents, ensuring that personal care is provided in a way that maintains and respects their privacy, dignity, and lifestyle.
 
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Put care plans in place from a resident’s first day and keep risk assessments up to date
  • Communicate with the catering team about residents’ dietary needs and update them if things change
  • Help organise daily tasks and fairly delegate duties to junior staff as directed by management
  • Register residents for the services they need
  • Take the lead in emergencies such as safeguarding concerns, complaints, accidents or sudden deaths
  • Administer medication, order supplies monthly and carry out weekly medication checks
  • Support housekeeping tasks during night shifts as needed
  • Stay informed about best practices in elderly care
  • Follow health and safety policies and work well with other departments
  • Be flexible – duties may vary depending on the needs of the service, and you’ll be part of the on-call rota
 
Skills and Experience Required:
  • A minimum of 3 years working within the care sector
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Good people skills with a caring and compassionate nature
  • Great organisational skills, staying calm under pressure
  • A positive, professional, and proactive approach
  • Experience with creating care plans
  • A confident leader
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • You will be aligned to the organisations Visons and Values.
