This exciting Project Manager role is a Leadership position with end-to-end responsibility for helping build a new department and capability within our clients Portfolio and Project Management Office. 
You will manage, own, and drive the delivery of our clients’ projects in support of the business strategy.  You will also be a key member of a significant IT business transformation project. 
You must be highly motivated and have extensive experience managing strong stakeholders with highly developed influencing skills with the ability to achieve consensus across multiple stakeholders.
Projects are varied and diverse in nature and will cover significant Strategic Business Transformation as well as operational Business as Usual. You will need to be flexible in your approach to Portfolio and Project Management and have the ability to manage and consider needs of a different projects and stakeholders.

  • Support the Group FD in the creation of a new Portfolio & Project Management Office.
  • Create and maintain the Business change roadmap, ensuring it is aligned to business strategy priorities and outcomes.
  • Creation of a Portfolio and Project Management Framework and System to enable the monitoring of planning, execution, and governance of programmes/projects – including reporting and portfolio/project-level risks and issues.
  • Adoption of the Project Management Framework across multi-discipline business units.
  • Understand and enable business resource planning and business readiness/capacity for projects.
  • Provide Project Management support to key projects.
  • 5-10 years in a Portfolio & Project Management Role.
  • Recognised Project Management Qualification e.g. CAPM, PRINCE, PMP or equivalent.
  • Confidence with established project and portfolio management methodologies.
  • Proven record of successful delivery of complex, multi-year cross-functional programmes.
  • Extremely strong stakeholder management and highly developed influencing skills. Able to achieve consensus.
  • Ability to quickly build up credibility with multiple stakeholders at senior levels of the business.
  • Large scale IT projects.
  • A full driving licence.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of the chemical industry and/or Business Transformation Change Projects.
  • Experience of Site Operations (Engineering / Facility Management).
  • Implementation of ERP/CRM systems.
